Prospect

Extension Privacy Policy

Applies to the "Prospect — Save to tracker" browser extension.

What the extension does

The extension adds a "Save this job" button that, when clicked, reads the job posting on the page you're currently viewing and sends it to Prospect to be turned into a filled-in application (company, role, location, salary, and a short description).

When it accesses your page

The extension reads page content only when you click "Save this job." It does not run in the background, does not read any tab you haven't explicitly acted on, and does not track your browsing history or activity across sites.

What data is sent, and where

What is stored

The extension itself stores nothing. The parsed job details are handed off to the Prospect web app, which follows Prospect's own data handling: saved to your device (local storage) if you're not signed in, or synced to your account if you are. The extension does not maintain its own database, does not use cookies, and does not include any analytics or advertising trackers.

Permissions

Third parties

Job posting text is processed using Anthropic's Claude API (via Prospect's own server) to extract structured fields. Anthropic does not receive your identity or account information — only the text of the job posting you chose to save.

Changes

If this policy changes, the update will be posted here with a new date.
